Could Floyd Mayweather Jr also had beaten Thurman at the same age that Pacquiao did at 41 years old?

Styles make fights. Pac's output is stylistically more problematic for Thurman. Mayweather's output is even lower nowadays.

Floyd blatantly ducked Thurman for years. What's crazy is that Floyd was "franchised" and no one talked **** about him for avoiding Thurman as his mandatory. Kind of funny, huh?

But Floyd typically fights guys where he believes he has a good chance of winning, and if the fight seems to favor the opponent, then he's not going to fight them. This is not true when he was younger but definitely true in his "Money Mayweather" days.

That all sounds good but this bothers me, " were he believes he has a good chance of winning, and if the fight seems to favor the opponent"

How does that stand with Manny Canelo Oscar Mosely Cotto where they all no risks, the funny thing about the Mayweather story is the narrative he was scared, there is no proof of that anywhere, but the narrative that gets pushed alone by things like this, Floyd would have beat any version of Keith, to keep the narrative alive Thurman is another bogie an he never fought, who would you like to have swapped, Cotto Manny Mosely Oscar Canelo, pick which version of Floyd Thurman beats, I say Floyd from any of those fights beats any version of Keith, and Floyd easy beats the version Manny beat.

Doubt it. It would be 3 years after his last meaningful fight.

only belt thurman would have been mayweather's mandatory for was the WBA belt, which means you guys are crying that we had mayweather vs pacquiao instead of mayweather vs thurman. you guys would also cry if mayweather didn't rematch maidana.

broner had the WBA belt he won from malignaggi, then maidana beat broner for that WBA title and lost it in a unification with mayweather (WBC champ)...which is how mayweather became the WBA super champion. in 2013 (thurman not even rated by wbc at this point due to being a minor WBO titlist) and 2014 (thurman is WBA interim champ, still not rated by WBC at this point) thurman was still fighting the jan zavecks, diego chaveses, soto karasses, leonardo bundus and julio diazs of the world. the only time a thurman vs mayweather fight would have made sense would be september 2015.

yes it would have been better than the random mayweather vs berto fight we got.

Floyd completely negated Pacquiao’s offence. Controlled the pace, controlled the distance, controlled the exchanges, he put on a clinical display.

You don’t have to hurt somebody to outbox them.

                    - - l'l floydy completely negated his testosterone wif his 2 week backdated TUE and needed Vegas to doctor the scorecards to win...

He spent his last 4 years ducking Thurman. Manny only joined Uncle Al to fight l'l floydy and beat up Boner for his first fight. Thuman and Spence the only ones left to beat, but Spence went airborne wif his Ferrari, so undefeated Thurman stepped in the rest Manny history...

It was. You just sound salty. I’m not even a Floyd fan, can’t stand him tbh. I wanted Pac to win but as I expected Mayweather convincingly outboxed him. You have to give credit where it’s due.
