last night will define arreolas career in one or 2 ways

it will either drive him into depression where he drinks more than ever and his career will derail..a beating like that can ruin a man mentally

OR..................it will make him understand he needs to fully dedicate himself and that if he lost 20 pounds MAYBE he wouldve had the speed to get to vitali..STOP DRINKING AND EATING SO MUCH AND MAYBE you will be the heavyweight champion of the world at a nice lean 225-230....ARREOLA THE CHOICE IS YOURS..you have the talent now you need the dedication

The problem is that Nipple wouldn't be lean at 230 lbs. He is a CW. His arms didn't even have bulk muscle on them. He is literally 50 lbs overweight IMO.

Exactly, I do not feel sorry for him, he had an opportunity to make a statement, and he did not use it. He was not going to win, but I believe if he was in better shape he would have done much better. There must be thousands of guys out there that would have loved the opportunity to be in HBO and fight the HW champion and he decided he was going to eat and drink with such an important fight. He has no commitment and no desire to be the best.

I agree with the thread starter. I always said that guy needs a big wake up call to put his ass in shape. Hope this is the one.

Not to be too mushy about it, I felt the same. All heart, not an ounce of quit in him, and months ago when this fight was signed, I was afraid this would happen.

I like Chris alot, and think quite a bit of his skill and heart, but no way should he have EVER stepped into the ring with Vitali. Anybody with any sense could see that. There isn't a heavy in the world today, other than Wlad, that would do any better than Chris did last night, and the vast majorty would do far worse (and have). How long has it been since Vitali found an opponent that didn't go down at least a time or two, or that kept coming forward after the first few rounds? Arreola was game throughout, kept pressing and trying to find a way in, regardless of the punishment he was taking...never showed discouragement once, never stopped throwing (or even slowed down), and in my book, any guy that tough is O-FUCKING-K by me.

All you *******s that want to talk **** about Chris for "quitting" (when he didn't...his corner and the ref did that, he didn't), just shut the fuck up until you've proven yourselves to be as tough as he has, which of course won't happen, as I'm quite certain every one of you sissies would fold in the face of even mild adversity.

I dont mean to be hard on the guy but if he is not conditioning himself sufficiency enough and taking the necessary scarifies then he deserved to lose.
