    a jab that works

jab that works!!!!many taller fighters had an advantage to pull this thing over to his opponent.although they have no capabilities to knock e'm out their opponents.some of them impressed the judges and took their attention. how about the other fighter who had a determination to win and give his best to the fight?

one of the fighters that I remembered for having a crisp effective jab was Thomas Hearns. That mans jab was like a whip. Sugar Ray Robinson, of course had a great one as well. He would control a fight with his jab. Constantly pounding it to the face of his opponents........Rockin'

how about a fighter who only by using his jab...when his opponent tries to toe toe he step back and take a jab or hit and run...what do you think? the referee would favoured that kind of style?

in the pros, damage with powerfull punches is a key. But if a man was able to control a fight with his jab, landing frequently while manuevering around his opponent, without being hit in return than yes he could win the fight and should win the fight. Larry Holmes won a lot of rounds by just sticking his man alot, of course the right hand would drop on occasion. The jab is a tool that is not appreciated by many judges, but its accumuilative affects are undeniable. When I begin judging the pros I will certainly take notice of the jab, it is a great tool. If they are just touching with it, that does not mean much. If they are snapping heads back with it, it will be noted and scored.........Rockin'

im going to do both, in time. I only had time to take and pass the referee test with the Association of Boxing Commisions. It is good for two years and then I will need to take it again. At the next oppertunity I will take the judges test. I want to do it all man. I had my fun as a fighter and now I want my fun on the other side of the sport. LONG LIVE BOXING!!!!!....Rockin'

what made hearns jab great is the way he kept his jab hand at his waist, his opponents werent used being jabbed at from that angle

hearns could have held his hands up by his face and then told them that he was going to hit them with it, and then he could have done it. That man had an awsome jab, lightning quick with good power and snap. Tommy is a mo town classic, he was one bad man.......Rockin'
