Vitali has good footwork. He also has an excellent jab.

He also keeps his mouth wide open throughout the fight. On that note, one of Tysons signature punches would have broken in his jaw flat out.

I don't buy into Tysons greatness as I think he never really beat any all time greats. People love to say " Mike in his prime vs. etc etc" Mike in his prime??? Mike in his prime lost to Buster Douglas. His only two signature wins I'd say would be against Spinks and Holmes, but both at the time were already wayyyyy past it.

Mike is "could have been great" boxer. I don't even think he hits the top 30 ATG list.

berbick did not have an awesome jab nor did holmes have anything close to vitali's jab. they were also wayyy over the hill when tyson fought them.

^ tyson's career had reached it's zenith before he fought buster douglas. tyson definetly measures against past greats with speed, power, defense, footwork, and technique.

Tyson couldn't even beat Buster at his peek. END OF STORY. VK would have won, no doubt

Holmes has one of the best jabs in heavyweight history. Vitali's jab isn't even good as Wlad's.

Don't prove how dumb you are. Holmes had one of the best jabs in the history of the HW division. He won fights on the jab alone.

I would agree with that, except not killed. I think Tyson would win by stoppage. Vitali barely got hit in most of his career. The only guy that really pounded him was Lennox, and look at how that ended up. Vitali is difficult to fight but he keeps his hands very low, is slow and paces himself so much that he is often inactive. A guy like Tyson with very fast feet and trained to fight bigger guys would hook around his jabs. I saw Sanders hurt him badly because he actually was able to attack through his guard. I also think it's foolish to say Vit would KO Tyson. I mean I've seen bums last with Vitali for nearly the entire fight, Tyson in his prime could go 12 and take one hell of a beating as well.

Tyson wasn't even at his peek when he fought Buster. Not only was Tyson going through a divorce at the time, but he fired his trainer, just before the Douglas fight. People forget that when we look at the heavyweights, Tyson defiantly had physical disadvantages in the ring (height, reach). So this man needed to train.

A primed focused Tyson would have destroyed the Klitchkos. Tyson asked Douglas for a rematch after his lost, why didn't Douglas accept? Larry Holmes had one of the best pure jabs in the heavyweight division. People always hate on Tyson, but Lennox will get credit for beating a broken Tyson and get a Hall of Fame nod...
