Al haymon has an agenda against mexican fighters, whether it be mismatches or everything stacked against them in close fights to put them at a disadvantage. His goal is to make mexican fighters look bad. I've noticed how he's moved all his mexican fighters. Except Leo Santa Cruz for obvious reasons.
They really tried everything to rob Benavidez. Al haymon really likes making Mexican fighters look bad. The commentators were straight lying about David looking out matched and were riding plant's nuts hard. Kenny Bayless did everything in his power to give plant every chance.
Once it was undeniable that plant was getting whooped, they switched up the narrative and the commentators got the que to tell the truth and Kenny Bayless got the go ahead to let benavidez fight out of the clinch instead of breaking up the action as soon as plant held.
