I like Beterbiev, but I don't see him beating Marciano. There was too much dog in Marciano. He fought better competition. He had an ATG chin. Marciano wasn't going to leave in a stretcher.

Nice to see bread still find time for the mailbag during fight week. Wish Marciano stayed around a bit longer and defended against Williams, Patterson, Johansen and eventually Liston,if he got past those opponents he would be up with Ali as the greatest.

Did someone mention Rocky Marciano vs Artur Beterbiev fantasy fight? Oh, Marciano all the way, the real rock.

Not a big heavyweight, but he fought some big guys, and his power and the way he worked to the body and then the head, legendary.

He wasn't a guy who would wow you with blistering handspeed and combo's, but he would just gradually break most opponents down.

Beterbiev is tough and powerful, but not Marciano's level.

Good luck to Breadman and his fighter Plant. A very tough fight awaits, but it's a toss up, with Benavidez.

Just occasionally someone comes up with a brilliant fantasy bout. Like y'all I got Rocky v Beterbiev. I think Beterbiev needs time to land power & Rocky ain't giving him time, he is gonna be on him like sauce from round 1 crowding him, pulling & pushing him, hitting him low, on top his head, everywhere. Have a real look at Rocky, he is much better defensively & much quicker than you would think. I don't have Rocky in my list of ATG H/Ws, not because I don't rate him but because, at 185ibs, he was just far too small. In today's era both Rocky & Floyd Patterson would comfortably make 175 & they would both be electrifying at 175. I think a peak Marciano just butchers everyone. Look at Marciano v Walcott 1. Outclassed by a guy who, basically, invented the moves Pernell & Floyd used, Rocky stays calm &, come R13, he just explodes.

Murray Kelk, I don't think thats possible. Of all boxing styles, swarmer is the most demanding. You have to be on it from the first second of R1 to the last second, throwing shots & muscling your opponent around. Remember in Rocky's day it was all 15 round fights. 15 x 3 minutes of putting money on someone for every second. That is like running a marathon while being punched in the face! When Rocky quit he basically said his body was breaking down & I suspect his mind was breaking down from the extreme lonely rigour he put himself through to get his body in shape. I remember a British journalist saying Rocky in training was living a Hermetic existence, like a medieval Friar. Even today, we, as fans, don't really acknowledge how much pain & suffering fighters go through to give us our action-packed 48 (or however many) minutes of action.

I love Pac, he's my GOAT, but I think Bread's mostly right about the whole 2pac/Biggie thing.

The only thing that he left out was Puffy, who was the one who was involved with the guys who shot 2pac. That's why Pac thought that Biggie & Puffy had him set up or knew that he was going to be set up.

But ultimately, I do blame 2pac more because if he hadn't gotten himself killed, Biggie would still be alive as well.
