The crying didn't define the fight but in a one sided heavyweight fight that's what non die hard fans will remember this fight for arreola's passion or emotional breakdown. I for 1 love that arreola didn't come in say at the end it is what it is.....

Jmm was getting beat alot worse than Chris n he finished the fight. At the end of the 11 th nacho told jmm to finish with dignity...clearly something the arreola corner needed to do.

Enough of the b.s. A fighter who sincerely wants to continue fighting does NOT sit quietly and let it happen. He screams at everybody that he's ready to go and gets on his feet to prevent the stoppage. This guy can claim up and down balling his blubbery ass off in the post fight interview that he wanted to finish the fight, but actions really do speak louder than words. This guy was running out of gas and realized that he wasn't going to make it out of the next round. So did his corner. I don't necessarily blame Arreola for quitting, but that's exactly what he did. Sure, he didn't WANT to quit, but he did.

I think he's getting a little flack for the way he was bawling like a baby. For God's sake he was crying harder than his kids. Which brings up another point. Why are boxers always bringing their wives and kids to these fights. I can't understand the wife but do we have to keep seeing traumatized kids crying on screen after watching their dad getting pummeled to a blood pulp i.e Cotto kid and Arreola's who still remembers Roy Jones twins crying their eyes out after it appeared for awhile that Roy was knocked senseless for minutes on end. How do they explain the ass whooping they just took to their kids lol

He realized that he wasn't even close. Deep down he knew that he was exactly what his detractors said he was. A fat, undisciplined poser. He knows now that to be elite in this sport (even in the sorry ass HW division), you have to work your ass off and sacrifice on a level that he knows inside he cannot commit to.
        good post

Shedding a few tears is one thing, but the man started bawling like a 13yr old girl who just got dumped by thier first crush in front of everyone, including his own family. Im sure his wife and kids were even embarrased. I have nothing against being emotional at times, but god damn!

So now only professional boxers who have fought against Vitali can comment about Chris? Everyone has an opinion and noone has questioned his heart or balls - the bottomline is the persona of a latin warrior does not equal an emotional breakdown during an interview. Whether right or wrong, this is the image reinforced by latin fighters and their fans. It's like two men riding a Moped - it just don't look right.

I believe it was a matter of maturity (he'll learn from this and will be that much better); there's no shame in his effort - just go cry in the dressing room like 99% of the fighters who lose in their first title shot. That's all I'm saying...

Nice one! So many e-heros typing away about a guy who actually fought his heart out in front of thousands of real people. I felt he thought he was robbed of the chance to finish the fight and I can understand why he was upset. Many had alot of faith in him, and the balls he showed I can understand why. There is a big outpouring of heroness from fatass internet champs though who think they are experts on manliness lol.

Well, he got what he got. He was talking **** before the fight saying the belt is coming back to America with him and yadda yadda yadda. Then we see his fat sloppy ass jiggling all over the ring for 10 rounds taking a beating. He couldn't back up what he said he was going to do. He felt shame and embarrassed...and he should have. Hopefully now he is humbled and will take training seriously and get a nutrionist and not talk any ****.
