I watched the first 3 rounds, skipped out on the rest and started watching it again at the start of the 7th or 8th round and I don't recall Floyd throwing more than a two punch combo.
Did Floyd even unleash a 3 punch combo?

Sadly he didn't although in a subsequent interview he DID acknowledge to when asked "What do you feel you could have done better?" He said "thrown more combinations..but I'm rusty I'll get better." -
maybe a couple of times... but in an interview I saw of him he said he felt like he was pretty rusty in there despite how everyone thought he looked top form, and wished he had thrown more combinations.
edit...: erm basically what Fulcrum said lolComment

And let me just say that in 10 rounds Vitali threw 800 punches (on par with Margarito's punch output) and Floyd threw like 400 in 12 rounds. Floyd threw no combinations Vitali threw alot including uppercuts etc and dominateda guy who's actually his weight and KO'd him and Floyd couldn't KO a lightweight.
Just to further illustrate how biased american media is. If Vitali was American he'd be on the #1 p4p list of every major american publication.Comment

I'd buy that excuse if it wasn't Mr. Wolf Ticket we were talkin' about.
I guess he has been rusty before he even retired. Floyd didn't start puttin' combos together until the 8-9th round of the Hatton fight. Same thing in the Baldo fight.Comment

Damn you're STILL sucking Floyd off?? How many anti Floyd Mayweather threads did you make today? 5 already??? Get off the mans **** already.Comment

Theirs alot of Vitali vs Floyd stuff coming from me and many other users because both fighters are skillful defensive style fighters yet Vitali even at the age of 38 still throws more then a WW. Vitali is the the sweet science without the boring offense.Comment

He's just not that type of a fighter. He never had those really fluid SRL type combos even in his earliest fights. He's always been more of a thinker, i.e. cerebral fighter who pinpoints weaknesses and targets them efficiently with laser like high accuracy punches rather than the "heart" style fighting of guys like Leonard who threw tons of wild combos. They're just two completely different types of fighters/styles. You can't necessarily hate on one or the other just because the shoe shine **** SRL does is more exciting. In the end boxing is what the fighters make of it. Some are there to entertain and don't care as much about winning or losing. Others are there to win only and keeping their "0" is the single most prideful and important thing in their lives as it is to Floyd.
You can't fault HIM for the fact that no opponent can do **** to him. If his style is so egregiously "bad" then someone should be able to bypass it easily right? But up to this date 40 have tried and all have failed miserably so until someone exposes the pot shotting style, no one can really talk **** because for Floyd to pot shot yet still brutalize and turn opponents' faces into mush, and make them quit, then he must be doing something right.Comment

Yea, both have that very talented upper body movement and even shoulder rolling though Floyd looks smoother doing it. But Vitali is more like Floyd with the punching power of Cotto.
Floyd + Cotto = Vitali.Comment
