Comments Thread For: Caleb Plant: "I Like Taking On The Title As An Underdog"

Caleb Plant has forged the sort of career that places him amongst the super middleweight division's elite. Yet, even after snagging the IBF crown in 2019 and defending it three times before losing said crown to Canelo Alvarez, the betting public firmly believes that he's biting off more than he can chew.

I'm pulling for Plant but expect Benevidez to win. I like both Caleb and David as fighters, but as a fellow southerner, I have to pull for Plant.

Good luck Plant, wasn't the biggest fan but he's won me over recently. I think he gives a good account of himself in this fight but goes down.

          “In just over a week?”

I thought the fight is 2 days away?

I like Plant, this one more loss won't hurt anything but his pride. He can hold his head up with his only 2 losses coming from Benavidez and Cinnabon.

I admire how Plant has become a pretty big success story, after being in poverty growing up. I think he said he lost his mom when he was young, so that's very heartbreaking.

This is a really good fight. It's good for boxing. It's not Fury-Usyk, but it's a high level fight.

I'm not certain, but that might be racism.
