Given Floyd’s high boxing IQ - I think we can all agree, he would adapt and beat any top 5 WW out there

To me Delahoya at 147 was generic.
    Floyd always starts slow LMAO

Do you know anything about boxing? Fuckin McGregor even won the first two rounds against floyd

LOL, do you know anything about making a NONboxer look good? That McGregor fight was a JOKE and you know it. He was playing to the crowd. He could of blown him out of the water at ANYTIME.
Another fight he did the same thing was with Maidana where he stayed in close exchanging with him. Maidana was a joke for Mayweather.
      Its smart showmanship.

Then again, Pac is never matched vs ATGs

Against an all-time great from the top 5 welterweights? A true Welterweight whose physically at their peak?

Mayweather was a superb boxer, he had outstanding athleticism, conditioning as shown as he could still easily contend at his late 30s and he does have very good skills as shown against legitimate opposition.

But at 147, he capitalized on his biggest strengths against iconic worn-down opposition who underperformed, gassed out mid-fight and didn't have the same power in their shots compared to when they debuted in the sport.

So no, I don't really think it takes a ATG like SRL, Hearns or Duran to beat him if shot fighters like De La Hoya and Shane Mosley make me question if Floyd could win against them if they were physically on their prime.

Closest HOF Welterweights he beat in their prime or closest to it would be a 23 year old Canelo (Floyd moved up to make the fight happen), Maidana was a brawler who relied on his physical gifts rather than his Ring IQ, and Miguel Cotto though he no longer was the same after facing Margarito and Pacquiao.
Careful when downgrading a fighter. That fighter might appear on another fighter's resume...AFTER May fought them.
That certain someone gets full credit for fighting the guys you mentioned.

I'm wondering how many HOFers/ATGs fought and beat LEGIT prime HOFers/ATGs ?

As for your May vs Mosley gif, it happened in the 2nd rd and May took over the fight immediately.

That was the same Mosley who JUST beat the life out of Margarito....who was supposed to be some kind of badass.

Pac would not have fought Cotto without the * and refused a rematch without a similar *.

Esteban Jesus, Kirkland Lang, Robbie Sims all beat Duran, Floyd would probably not lose a single round to those guys.

And then apply the same criteria to the many fighters that took Ray and Thommy to loses and also the distance, Hearns only elite KO win was Duran the rest were hard could battles, the point is highlight reels hardly every come from the superfights.

Fantasy fights are just that, they are imagined and what is imagined is the highlight reel when there is no guarantee that's what you will get in the real world. So in a real contests Floyd could possibly beat all of them, personally, I think he is too small for the ATG WWs but he has so much defensive ability and ring iq nobody could say for certain how fantasy fights would go, it cracks me seeing the haters and many others so matter of fact in a pure fantasy contest, there is a whole backend of bias behind that matter of fact.

Is there a ''Who would win, Prime Ali vs May'' thread ?
                  I wouldn't be surprised

If you mean Canelo or Pacquiao, they shouldn't get much credit either. Less compared to Floyd who at least beat him when coming off a win against a downspiraling Margarito after the handwrap controversy and a shot Mayorga.

If you read any comments of me crediting either based on that win, feel free to call me out as I might probably have done so in the past, but knowing the circumstances now I can't.

As for the gif, just saying if it was the prime version of the same fighter, he would either finished the fight right there, have capitalized on it or successfully landed similar shots throughout the fight.

The guy still was dangerous, but Mosley was 40 years old at this point of his career.
