    you guys are forgetting the majority decision win against jesus soto karass that he probably should have lost if memory serves me correct. he did better in the rematch but the writing was on the wall that he wasn't going to live up to the hype

      Not forgetting it, just that Karass wasn't nearly as visible as he would later become. He was just another guy who showed up brilliantly on the night, but the rematch convinced me that Jones was definitely more skilled than most.

      The problem with Jones was pushing him to Manny. He needed to be built against more guys before fighting Bailey and he wasn't.

      What happened to Jones against Bailey is exactly what would have happened to Paul Williams if they had tried to put him in there with Floyd. For the same reason.

        Randall Bailey, man. That's a name I aint heard in a while.

        I don't think I've seen a puncher like him around that weight class in a long time.

        He had Hawk Jackson type power.
