Arreola was going down for sure. He actually took Klitschko's punches better than I expected and was moving foward the whole fight, so props to him.

Vtali is just too big, strong and good.

Yes, too many Mexican fighters have died the past few years from an accumulation of too many punches, when fights should have been stopped and were not.

Arreola will be back, and he'll eventually win a world title.

What is the deal with boxing nowadays. If your fighter wants to finish the fight, let him do so.
It happend with paulie, and it happend with Chris tonite. I think trainers underestimate how important finishing a fight is to their fighters.

The problem is that boxers have too much pride........Look at the likes of Bradley Rone, and others that had tremendous heart and wanted to keep fighting, only to be killed by the excessive punishment they took. Its a proven fact that a fighter recovers from a one punch type ko quicker then when he/she absorbs a barrage of punches..

Yes it was similar to what happened in Hatton-Malignaggi, Arreola was upset with Ramirez. But Arroela took more punishment from Vitali than Malignaggi did from Hatton.

He was taking a risk or being seriously hurt so it was a good decision.

Did you hear Arreola arguing with either one when it mattered? He can sob and say he wanted to continue in the post fight interview all he wants, but most of us know what really happened.

He was asked to do so by Henry Ramirez, Arreola's trainer. Ramirez talked to Dan Rafael after the fight:

                  from espn:

Vitali Klitschko pounded Cris Arreola almost at will Saturday night, retaining his heavyweight title when the referee waved the fight to a close after the 10th round.

The fight ended with Arreola on his stool after the 10th round, still ready to fight some more when his trainer refused to allow him to go on.

"He was taking too much punishment," trainer Henry Ramirez said. "When I told him I was going to stop the fight he was irate."
he should've told oreo-la to go out there and throw haymakers or else he'd stop it.

So is Vitali really fighting Kevin Johnson in December?

From what I hear, the contracts are being drawn up sometime in the next month or so............All the provisions (rematch clause/purse/revenue split, etc) have to be finalized.........
