Plant had a good round ten and got a little bit too confident in round 11. All he needed to do was what he was doing rounds 1-9. The cards might still have been prejudiced against him though.

I see that David doesn't close the ring down as well as Canelo. His defence is not as good as Canelo's. Kyrone Davies avoided David a fair bit but he is nowhere near as mobile as Caleb. Davies also landed on David a lot. Not sure if he hits harder than Caleb - possibly Caleb hits a bit harder as Davies started off at LMW and MW.

I feel the biggest plus for Caleb is having Breadman in his corner. Bread will have made extensive mental notes during the Davies fight and seen first hand what David's weaknesses are and implemented a plan to beat him which will have been practiced repeatedly during this camp.

When u punch as hard as Canelo and he hits u clean in the head, that's a game changer, maybe even a life changer. Plant is a proud & arrogant guy. He genuinely thinks he's the sh.t, and he isn't really conceding anything. You have to beat the fight out of him, u have to really hurt that dude to where he's not physically capable anymore. Until then, he'll be moving and grooving, gliding and sliding and doing his thing. He isn't what ppl think. He's actually tough and can punch..and he's fast! However I'm riding with Benavidez. I don't like the shovel sh.t Plant did to Dirrell. I wanna see him get clipped good. Plus Benavidez is my dude, I rock with him against anybody
I rewatched Canelo vs. Plant the other day because people keep saying he was hanging with Canelo. AND Lol no he was not.

Can't wait for this fight. Bradley and Benavidez both think Plant lacks heart.

I feel the same. Not sure how people had Plant doing great in that fight. He did so so but he was not winning it. Old Golovkin in the 3rd match up had Canelo in more danger in my opinion.

Plant was not sitting down on his shots nearly enough to deter or damage Canelo.

Also for all the moving Plant was doing he getting tagged each round to top of the head and side of the body. He was always going to get broken down with the way that fight was playing out.

The only possible downside with Plant sitting down on his shots and trying to back Benavidez up is that when the boxer decides to do that against the pressure fighter the fight usually ends up staying stuck in that gear.

If that happens the style of fight favors the pressure fighter from that point on.

Same here, Plant seemed to concede to Canelo's will early on and ended up fighting Canelo's fight. He had some success around round 9 because Canelo was tiring, but Caleb was also tired and got caught and hurt bad in the 11th round.

As for Tim's comments, I think he's right unless Plant is able to hurt Benavidez, however, I don't know if people are over-rating Plant's power after the Dirrel KO.

Caleb is a skilled guy, but I don't like what he did. It was rotten. It was tasteless, it was cringy, it wasn't sportmanship. It showed his true character as a man. He's a nasty mofo. That was some real sucker sh.t. And yes I wanna see him get punished for it. And I know Benavidez will deliver 150% sure that asswhipping is in the mail and it'll be here very shortly

At this point, Benavidez hydrates to cruiserweight on fight night, and he is much taller than the 6"1' Caleb Plant. If Caleb can stand his ground often enough and catch David with hard counters when he moves he will win. If not, then it will be a long night for him. We shall see.
