Naoya Inoue had his mind made up well before entering the ring for his previous fight. The three-division titlist and pound-for-pound entrant already knew that a trip to the junior featherweight division was in his immediate future. Inoue was open about campaigning at the weight in the buildup to his eventual eleventh-round

The last line of thos article is Inoues statement of intent it's why he will stop fulton late or early. My prediiction is fulton gets stoped in three

Gonna be a very interesting fight, can't come soon enough. Easily one of the most anticipated fights of the year. Both men have a path to victory and it's a real toss-up who will prevail.

I see either man winning, but a stoppage is very unlikely.

If Inoue had a tune up first at the weight level, his chances would hv been much better. Right now its 50:50

This should be a great fight. I like both fighters. But, I see The Monster stopping Cool Boy Steph in the mid-late rounds. I know people - in this post and Breadman, specifically - talk about Steph's physical strength. But, I don't see that being a factor because Inoue is just too quick - of hand and feet - and his punches are precise. Fulton isn't going to be able to lean on him and wear him out. Inoue is in-and-out, in-and-out. I think in the early going it's gonna be Steph's length that troubles Naoya more than anything. Steph has good movement and defense, to be sure, and that will be a factor, too, but he just doesn't have the power - in my opinion - to dissuade Inoue. As I've said before, props to Fulton for taking on this challenge (both guys, actually). He could end up making my prediction look ******. Win or lose, Fulton is a DOG.

I know Cool Boy is good, but The Monster is no Figuerera,Inoue can box too,so imo Inoue beats Fulton rather easy, imo Inoue knocks him around the start of the championship rounds, this guy is like Pacman in his prime, only better imo

And that is exactly what fighters are supposed to do when they step up to a new weight class. Inoue and his team are idiots for not taking a tune-up fight

Can’t see Fulton not utilizing his full arsenal of boxing skill and ability to make this fight a UD win. But it being in Japan, I dont’ see how he wins without a KO. And he’s not that type of puncher so….toss up. Inoue is small but powerful. Fulton is small but used to fighting guys that walk around heavy as hell outside of camp.

                    Should be interesting.
