whats wrong with that - good business sense. All the promoters do it. Its not the extension that is wrong per se - it depends what the terms of the extension were. Thing is, if he beat Bivol he'd be a global star, in line for a Canelo fight etc - he obviously didn't think he could do it.

Hearn has been pressuring Buatsi to fight Bivol for 2 years. Virgil Hunter said Buatsi wasn't ready last time and emphasized Buatsi wasn't ready this time.

Why? Pacquiao retired almost 2 years ago. His legs aren't what they used to be and he's 44 years old. How can fighting a 44 year old retired welterweight carry more weight or be more acceptable to the boxing public than fighting an active boxer in Eubank or a younger recently retired boxer in Brook? After the shellacking Eubank got against Smith, he'd be crazy to agree to a fight against Benn at anything below 160. None of these fights are really viable or do anything for the disgraced Benn.

It doesn't matter what the critics say, Virgil Hunter is right to say Buatsi isn't ready for Bivol. He'd be dominated and possibly KO'd. Buatsi hasn't even proved he's the best LHW in the UK yet. He's got no chance against Bivol at this point.

Good business sense , for who ? Not for Josh it wasn't , he said Hearn wanted to tie him to another four fight deal and other things that he will no doubt go into later .This stinks of the situation with Lawrence Okolie recently where the contract was finished but Hearn wanted £500k from the fighter ...claiming he 'owed' him a fight ...fortunately Lawrence told him to **** off! and it looks like Josh did too!

I hope this leads to Buatsi being more active. What's obvious is that he won't be fighting for a title anytime soon, and it's ok to say you aren't ready. But, he HAS to stay busy. Other than Azeez, what other LHW does BOXXER have?

I wouldn't say no chance but he's wise to listen to Hunter, I'd like to see him demolish Callum Smith but it looks like Smith is going to be demolished by Beterbiev instead.

Any combination of Yarde/Smith/Buatsi - I'd like to see Buatsi and Smith denied title challenges until they can get past Yarde measuring post - won't happen though

At this point Hearn is hoping Smith and Father Time can weaken Beterbiev so that when Bivol finally steps in the ring with Artur he has the odds stacked in his favour instead of 50/50. I really hope Artur is as immune to aging as Hopkins.

Pacquiao sells, and the Arabs want that fight! They will pay Pacquiao handsomely! Brook and Eubank Jr. are finished, and have never been an attraction like Pacquiao! Benn better get the bag, ASAP!

I can see why he wanted to move back to SKY. It's a channel that's accessible and ideal for building a casual following.

I like Buatsi and would like to see him step up in opposition now. The Bivol fight was there but with DAZN, Yarde was there but with Warren, and we've seen Pascal and Vlasov fights fall through in recent years. Now he's got his contract sorted hopefully we'll see some good fights. I've seen Azeez's name mentioned.
