As I have been telling everyone on this site for the last few years that Oscar cannot make a move in boxing without the blessing of Espinosa (Showtime) or Haymon (PBC). All of GBP fighters have a natural American boxing rivalry with the PBC fighters. If he wants Mungia to fight Jermall / Lara / Adames it will be on Showtime only, not Dazn. Espinoza and Al have no incentive to send PBC fighters to Dazn because they simply are a joke of company in America. In 2018 Dazn told us the 160 and HW divisions runs through them and all fighters will have to sign with them to get a belt. Now in 2023 Dazn has no HW belts, two of the four 160 belts are at PBC and they probably only have like 2 world title holders in their stable. Canelo is possibly fighting his last bum fights on Dazn. No more 3G. Usyk is a free agent. AJ is somewhere in the sunken place. They are a joke. Oscar probably feels rejuvenated from the Tank / Ryan press conference. That was big time boxing and he was reminded that he was Mr Big time boxing for like 15 straight years. If Oscar is serious about saving his fledgling company then he needs to ditch Dazn and go sign an exclusive deal with Showtime so we can get lots of regular non PPV fights between PBC and GBP. It's the only real play he has left because it looks like CBS is going to invest a lot into boxing over the next few years to see if they can bring it back and Oscar needs to get on board ASAP!....oh yeah my condolences R.I.P. Eddie Hearn 2018-2023 PPV IS DEAD!!! hhhahahahahahahahahahaha
Top notch post. I agree. Hopefully all the North American promoters can get behind only two networks, ESPN/Showtime CBS.
