Do you guys realize how much production value goes into making a simpleton like Mayweather interesting?

I know because I know the production team that works on the 24/7's.

Without them Mayweather is a ****ing boring stiff.

Anyway, the point is, without HBO muscle Mayweather is what he is, just another boring counterpunching cherrypicker.

I'd love to see how far he got with that act with only Leonard, Al, and Roger promoting him.

        Without HBO, he's nothing.

        **** you all in advance.

        As usual.

especiallly w/ floyd's potshotting style... its not an exciting style, so HBO has to put major money behind it to sell his fights.

Marketing does have a lot to do with Mayweather's success. I think Chavez Jr. could become a PPV attraction if HBO followed him around and had him on camera taking a ****.

Marketing can only do so much, you have to have the talent to make it all payoff. We saw what happened with GBP's number one prospect he got his ass kicked when he ran into a tough opponent. Floyd might not be the most liked person but he has talent to spare!

              I doubt it,
Who wants to watch another humble boxer walking around and spending time with his parents.
Floyd has a very distinctive characteristics which make you hate him or love him either way you still talk about his personality and then watch his fight.
HBO has nothing to do with it, they just show it. Thats Ali's type of hype.Other boxers don't personality and thats why they suck with PPV.
Sweet Pea or Pryor never had it and HBO would not help.
