It would be interesting to see Vergil Ortiz Jr move up to 154 in the next 2-3 years. Think he could be a two-division world champion.

As for the current 154 pounders, I don't know all of them but since Jarred Hurd, Tony Harrison, Julian Williams, Terrell Gausha and Jeison Rosario are shot, plus both Erickson Lubin and Carlos Adames are moving up to middleweight:

      1. Jermell Charlo- Battle tested Veteran who takes on all challengers, he holds all the belts at the division and defends them quite actively. Has wins over, Rosado, Trout, Harrison, Castano, Rosario and Lubin.

      2. Tim Tzyu- Son of Legend Kostya Tzyu, just proved yesterday that he belongs at the top by fighting Tony Harrison and Terrel Gausha.

      3. Brian Castano- pressure fighter who applies a lot of volume, has won over Michel Soro, Patrick Texeira, and Erislandy Lara.

      3. Sebastian Fundora- Very tall fighter who fights at the pocket, beaten Nathaniel Gallimore (Gave Jeison Rosario his first loss), Erickson Lubin, undefeated Sergio Garcia, and is currently going to fight Brian Mendoza who pulled the upset against Rosario.

      4. Magomed Kurbanov- Defeated Liam Smith and Patrick Texeira.

      5. Israil Madrimov: Defeated Michel Soro by 9th round stoppage.

I'll put Yoelvis Gomez as an up on coming 154 pounder. Fundora and Castano are 2 and 3 just behind charlo, they're more tested than the aussie.

Agreed, however Tzyu vs Charlo is currently scheduled and if he succeeds on pulling off the win, he be the undisputed world champion.

Castano and Fundora have overall more wins at the same level of competition.

Yoelvis Gomez, has to yet to prove himself to be honest though I don't doubt he could be a hidden gem (get it, because he is called La Joya). Just that anyone can look good bulldozing unknown opposition, we don't need another fiasco like let's say Edgar Berlanga or Chavez Jr.

I think Gomez is on the fast track, just like Morell Jr and a bunch of other Cuban defectors fighting out of Dubai. It was a shame he injured his wrist, he was to fight at the Armory alongside his countrymen. Morell jr. I have Fundora and Castano higher than tim because the aussie is not there yet, he could be and if he beats charlo, he will jump on front. Be safe.

              - - I like Fundora. He taking the Sissy out of boxing by forcing em into fighting a monster which is why he'll eventually be ducked more than he is.
