Since when is sparring a real fight? OK, he got my attention to watch him fight. I really want to see what the sparring King can do against top tier opponents.

Yup, I’ll take how Usyk and Bakole did against their only common opponent, when both fought a prime version of him, over some unsubstantiated story about sparring without any context.

Beyond asking whether or not the story is true, you have to ask questions like: how many rounds did they spar? Did Bakole win all of them? Were they both fresh? Or was Bakole cycling in after Usyk had put in 10 rounds already and Bakole was the last 4?

If the last AJ -Usyk fight was a sparring match, yeah they would have stopped it when AJ was battering him around the…. was it 8th or 9th? In general, in camp, it isn’t worth the wear and tear to keep fighting through those scenarios. So AJ would have been able to lay claim that he stopped Usyk in sparring.

Bakole probably just lost out on a lot of future sparring, and this will hurt his development.

i am kind of disappointed with someone talking sparring like that he also forgot to say that joe joyce stop him in a spar its just training practice that no one should hear about he is just trying to make a name for himself now smh

Bob saw Bakolie get smacked about by cruiserweight Hunter....who got smacked about by Usyk, though it was alot closer than Bakolies fight with hunter.
Sparring..... I guess Dubois didnt make him sign a gagging order like Aj.

Sparring = "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas". Means maybe a pinch in the real picture. However, I would agree that Bakole is a big, dangerous man. Hunter caught him at the right time. It would be harder to get a win against him now. I'd like to see Bakole fight any of the top guys.
