There were plenty of U.S. sports stars who fought in WWII. Possibly the greatest baseball hitter ever, Ted Williams, saw active duty. Teddy Roosevelt (then Assistant Secretary of the Navy and future U.S. President) resigned his post and joined active duty in the Spanish-American War, etc.
Usyk did actually enroll in a territorial regiment I believe but was apparently convinced - by the Klitchkos amongst others - that his role as a world Champion level boxer and an exemplar of Ukrainian values and fighting spitirt would be of greater propaganda value to the Ukrainian war effort than simply being wasted as cannon fodder, and I gotta say they probably got a point.

Please Usyk, do us a favor and beat this Gypsy queen to retirement where he belongs. I am sick and tired off him and his dirty tactics like "oh, I would fight for free" and the next day "oh, "Usyk deserves 50%" and "oh, Usyk is worth 30" and "oh, I would beat every fighter in the history of the sport".

Except Klitschko, he never beat anybody worth a damn. And he even ducked a rematch than.

Fu.ck Fury, Usyk is the man, Usyk is the people`s champ, he is ready to fight everybody.

Fury is a disgrace to boxing and to the lineal HW title

Clearly he doesn't care about his legacy or the fans, so he should just go the **** away and go back to being a retired cokehead

The fight was supposed to be in Saudi Arabia, they already had an agreement with Usyk's Team. Team Fury didnt want to agree to a deal because they need hometown advantage and are extremely geedy. So now Usyk has to take much less money and on top fight in Furys backyard? You cant make this sh. up. Fury is much less liked and much less popular than AJ so they obviously will not pay as much for Fury as for AJ. Fury needs to retire if he ducks this fight.
