Why is Fury demanding so much from Uysk ?

He called him out multiple times and now it looks like he does not even want to fight him.

Fury seems to have one foot in and one foot out of boxing. He's made a lot of money and that can often rob a fighter of his hunger and motivation. He's already said on multiple occasions he is retiring or wants to retire. I think his motivation now is to get whatever he demands on his terms rather than meet halfway to make a fight. He sees Usyk as a legitimate risk. Usyk performed well against a much larger opponent in Joshua, took his best punches. That has to weigh on Fury's mind.

he’s either ducking or being extremely stubborn regarding what he feels he deserves.

It’s hard to argue against the fact he deserves a bigger split, especially in the UK. He sold over 150,000 tickets last year as the A side. Usyk wouldn’t fill a quarter of those stadiums as the A side unless someone like Fury or AJ is in the other corner. Usyk might have 3 belts but those belts don’t fill the stadiums. Without Fury, he’s gonna be in a much smaller fight with those belts. so Fury does have a genuine point regarding getting more of the money. That’s how it’s always worked.

I don’t think he’s literally scared to fight Usyk, I just think he’s 100% about the money at this point and flat out refusing to go 50/50 with fighters that don’t sell the tickets he does.

I’m gonna call it a duck though this time. I think offering 60/40 wouldn’t be unreasonable really.

but he’s asking for 70/30 or a huge flat fee. So it seems he’s pricing himself out.

Fury is a legend in his own mind because of his fan base and media outlets that went along with just about every lie he told fir years ,so here we are with a fighter who’s fabricated in his own mind that he’s god gift to boxing so sets an offer only he thinks is reasonable .

The harsh reality is if he retires there’s far better fights anyway with or without him .

Fury wants retirement money as its his last fight. Fury thinks Usyk will do him a favour, as Usyk will continue to fight to make money so fury dont think Usyk needs to be paid much in this fight, as Usyk will make up for it in up coming fights?
So if Usyk fights 5 more times, he will make as much money Fury is hoping to make in this last fight. Sounds terrible what ive just said, and to many is an alternative way of thinking, or paranoid way of thinking. But it looks like it.
