Comments Thread For: Regis Prograis On Matias: "He's Not On My Level, I'll Definitely Whoop Him"

The flag of Regis Prograis currently resides near the top of the 140-pound mountain. After reeling off three consecutive stoppage victories since his majority decision defeat at the hands of Josh Taylor in 2019, Prograis (28-1, 24 KOs) reclaimed his championship throne following his 11th-round KO win over Jose Zepeda.

I would love to see Prograis-Matias live if they ever fight. Prograis has only fought 3 times in 4 years and he’s up there in age, he can talk about levels but I don’t think Prograis is active enough to withstand Matias determination. Prograis can definitely hurt Matias but if he can’t then it will be a long night for him.

I love this fight but I doubt it happens

Prograis got the skills and the resume, that's for sure. But does he have the chin and gas tank to weather the Matias onslaught? If Matias can take Prograis's power and can cut off the ring, in a battle of attrition he stands a good chance of beating Prograis, even stopping him. The big word is IF!

That's right we don't want to hear that level's **** anymore, we're not taking your word for it.
You have to go out there, and prove it to the boxing public once and for all, because we're demanding it.
I'm not so sure that you can beat Matias, more than that I don't think that you are completely sure either.

This is a great fight if it can get made. While I agree that Prograis is the overall more skilled fighter, Matias has fight ending power and an iron chin (eye test).

Too much risk for the money is what he's saying...even though Prograis would probably win, seeing how Mathias was outboxed and knocked down by Ananyan.
