Fighters don't come out and say I will fight that guy but I want him weight drained, its a managerial part that explores making the fight, its not yes no, its dialogue, what Im saying is fighters, for the most part, are fighters that want to fight, they are generally coerced easily, fighters no doubt can stop the process, but they are not the instigator of the process.
I think fighters see CWs etc differently than the way fans see them, fans see it as cheating and a ready-made excuse, I think Floyd spoke a fighters true feelings when he was asked by a reporter why are you having this CW with Canelo, and he answered " because it will make the job easier " , that's real talk, he ever said anything about oh he is bigger blah blah. just straight up said how it was.
And Im not saying your wrong in all this, I hate all CWs because of the built-in excuse it creates and the handicap is there, but they are not all equal, a CW can be poles away from another depending on where on that sliding scale is the fighter on fight night. we can all assume but true is nobody can say the effect of CW until it's fight night and the bell rings.
