It seems like despite inflation Mike Tyson's career earnings figures has been doubling several times over the decades(unless they're counting his new age business ventures which would have to be worth hundreds of millions to make this work). It started out with the 300 million figure and it will eventually be a billion.

They're most definitely counting his current earnings. Same for Floyd. Floyd barely sc****d 1B, now he's 1.4B.

It seems they took into account all forms of income, not just what they were paid for the sport or their respective fights. Foreman earned more from his Foreman Grills than his boxing career. Jordan had all sorts of endorsement deals that put him over the top.
