Lol wth u talking bout man, fighting low tier opponents(to avoid calling them bums) is all Berlanga does tbh, at least mungia can say he beat former champ.

If they are serious about progressing his career, the level should, at the very least, be at a John Ryder.
If they are simply looking for the payday, the level will be Uzcategui (the current version that is) and have him looking like a million bucks (surely not a given).

To me, the only way Berlanga gets to "skip the line" in front Benavidez, Plant, Charlo, Andrade and co would be to defeat like David Morrell.

I can't see Eddie actually thinking if he lines Berlanga up against decent opposition he will look good or even be guaranteed to win. He hasn't progressed at all in his last few fights. If Berlanga happens to beat whoever Eddie puts him in with, unless he shows dramatic improvement he will be mince meat against Canelo much like Rocky from Stocky and Yildirim.

I think Eddie will entice Berlanga with $ to be made fighting in the UK against local talent and use Berlanga as a stepping stone to launch the career of a UK fighter that will bring in real $.

I was thinking, I've seen his opponents in other fights, but I don't recall ever seeing one of Berlanga's opponents win any fights. I have seen a couple of them take a dive to preserve his 16 KO streak though. But I'm not worried about him jumping in line because it just means Canelo wasn't gonna be fighting them dudes anyhow.

(Im not counting Angulo because I saw him beat up Berlanga)
