Does anyone really want to see Hopkins vs Jones II?

Bhop might be old but his style makes his age negligible. Defense and fundamentals hasn't worn down much with age.
Roy has declined to the point where he is not the same fighter he was.
On the other hand I think Bhop has aged like wine.
Given that, I don't think the fight means much but i'll watch it for the spectacle. I think Bhop takes it on points.Comment

everything sounds like a Mayweather line to you..
Mayweather didn't invent the phrase nore was he the first to use it.

It would've been more relevant 5-10 years ago and it means nothing for the victor of this match but I will dish out 50 bills for this, boring or not.Comment

Nope. I am saddened by it to be honest. The last thing boxing needs is to see two former greats in their forties lumber around like shadows of their former selves. Boxing is a young mans sport,a dangerous sport where you need to be in the peak of physical condition to give yourself the best chance. A seniors tour has no place in this sport.why would you want to see these two old dinosaurs go at it, especially now?
what does it prove? nothing. It's one of those fights that holds no weight or significance and really has no reason being made. Jones already taxed that ass prime for prime. Bernard didn't want the rematch then, why does he want it now?Comment

Earlier in the year Yori Boy Campas and Macho Camacho Sr. had a low level PPV that had people thinking "why?" It happened to be going on at the same time HBO was showing Dawson-Tarver II. I caught both fights and ended up enjoying the Campas-Camacho fight moreusually when two old'ens go at it.. it doesn't make for a spectacular fight.
the name recognition will attract people in but if history repeats itself then they are
more then likely to leave disappointed.
roy jones has looked good against who? a guy who was 4-6 in his last few fights & a post Calzaghe Jeff Lacy who is shot to death.
I think it should be a fun fight, and there is that extra incentive for them. 50-50 with 60 going to the winner if the fight ends before the 12th.Comment
