It has always been common for the A side to have options for a rematch. Look at Kamboso vs Haney - Nothing to see here.

That was a title fight, I understand rematch clauses for that type of deal, but Porky gets to hang onto his fake belt even if he loses, Ryan isn't going back down to 135. So to me it's quite different. I think they'd rematch anyway because the money on the table if Cryan gets the w. I don't consider it an upset as I don't think highly of either kid. Can't wait for the WBC to create some meaningless belt for this one.

I don't see a problem at all! Ryan has been on a crusade for Davis, not the other way around! I actually think Ryan is playing himself to a certain degree! How is it that you're always around Davis and Mayweather? Oscar literally had to put a cease-and-desist on Mayweather, because Ryan was d-k riding that hard! To make matters worse, he turned away opportunities to fight for the WBC title! Why, to get a shot at the WBA secondary title? Ryan is obsessed with Tank! I think if he loses, especially by KO, he might harm himself! I'm not even trying to be funny, I seriously think Ryan has a real obsession with Tank!

I agree, he's definitely been following him around for a while, showing up in the same clubs, popping up around the gym, etc. After they wake him up when the fight is over, someone needs to keep a close eye on him.

It's pretty sad that nearly all big fights have rematch clauses these days. I understand if it's a close competitive fight with 2 top level fighters that went to a close decision then that's justified especially with hometown decisions. However nowadays you can get knocked out by a no name and it's all good because you have an automatic chance to right your wrong, it's bull**** because you literally get 2 opportunities to do something you should've done the first time meanwhile the division is being held up.

That's not how boxing should work best fight the best and the loser rebuilds while the winner continues to move up, it takes away from the whole concept of boxing and pretty much every sport in general. Imagine if the Eagles got a 2nd chance against the Chiefs just because they lost a close game, **** no the Chiefs won and the Eagles have next year to try again that's the way sports work.

It's all about money these days and not many fight for legacy anymore but in my honest opinion the rematch clause should be nullified if the winner wins by KO or more than 8 rounds.
