Comments Thread For: Harrison: Look At My Role And Obstacles I Had To Jump Over; Tszyu Took The Elevator, I Took The Stairs

By Jake Donovan - Tony Harrison was mostly complimentary of Tim Tszyu during a press conference held to promote and discuss their upcoming fight. However, the former WBC junior middleweight champ was quick to suggest a touch of privilege has been enjoyed along the way by his upcoming adversary.

Taking the stairs wasn't by choice that was by happen stance, and on your way up you lost 3 time's (all by stoppage).
That doesn't say much for your chin, you looked terrible against Perrella, and although the judge's gave you a razor thin win against Charlo in the first fight.
I didn't have you winning that fight, and the way you carried on in disbelief of your own unexpected good fortune, I had Charlo winning a close decision.
How you'll do against Tszyu, is anyone's guess, although I do believe you'll give him hell, in a losing effort, but both deserve a lot of credit for taking the fight.

I have a feeling that Mr.Harrison will be taking the gurney out of the arena.
. Hopefully not due to serious injury.
I think that Tsyzu is too strong , and too busy for Tony to deal with all night.

If what Harrison says is true then why the **** does he get unfocused when he's winning and lose fights. You'd think he learned from his self created debacles

Harrison is easily one of the best pure boxers in the sport skill-wise and probably the most dangerous fight for Tszyu to take with his shot at Charlo on the line. He is a very live underdog in this one considering he has everything to gain and everything to lose. Tszyu better not underestimate him and bank on his chin and gas tank fading later in the fight. Harrison is better than him in almost every other department. Gonna hafta take some leather from Harrison to get his big shots in and win this one. Classic boxer vs puncher matchup.

It is obvious that there are certain "things" that allowed Tsz a shot that well opened doors for him that did not play out for Harris. yet there were doors opened for Harris just as well. He may not have seen the man behind the door but they were there believe that. So even money on that charge too. Boxing is more about what a fighter does when those doors swing open. Harris got shots at being a name fighter, and by a razor got himself in good postion, and then turned up short 3X's as you mentioned. Now it is an oportunity for both guys to show up and show out so to speak. Who has got what it takes to take advantage of the situation ? It happens all the time. Harris is just saying what most fight fans know about both fighters not just Tsz. the build up is on, the fight will determine who is and who is not in the ring.

              I mean...

His father was a former world champion boxer so yes in some sense he might not have had to go through some off the same trials as him or maybe got some more recognition due to his family name being recognised in the sport..

that being said Tszyu will have had to fight his way up through the ranks and now he has an obstacle in the form off Harrison to face, whether he beats him or loses to him he is facing him and a belief off being privileged etc aside in the ring none off that matters there is only one winner and one loser whether he prevails or fails time will tell..

I mean sure corruption and pay offs on judges etc has happened in the past with other fighters or say fixed fights etc..

Tim is almost made for Harrison and that may not be a good thing as Tim will bring that sustained pressure for 12 hard rounds this fight is going to be amazing though 50/50 fight.

I favor Harrison in this fight because of his skills and experience but his chin is unreliable and he loses concentration in fights.

Harrison has loses by KO and the one good win most thought he had lost that fight, he was on the way to become a recognizable name at 154 until he got stopped by Willie Nelson, the Hurd stoppage did not do him any favors either.

Regardless it is a good match up and this is a pivotal fight for both guys. I give them credit for agreeing to fight because the way boxing has been lately that fighters do not take risks.

That's ironic< because I was going to say we're going to find out who was better off the one taking the elevator, or the one taking the stair's.
