Well that's a bit harsh, Cotto isn't 0-6 in title fights. But one thing is certain, Marquez would not lose to a Margarito caliber fighter who was the same size as him. So the answer is no.

Well Juan Diaz was only lacking margos chin because he was beating JMM till the stoppage.

But you are comparing a fight that JMM lost with a fight that Cotto won. Cotto vs JMM in a match up. the outcome would be Cotto by tko.
1. JMM does not move his head when he is moving in.
2. JMM is not as powerful as Cotto. Cotto is heavy handed guy.
3. JMM is not even that fast.
4. JMM kinda hurt by light puncher Juan Diaz in the second round.
5. JMM won 3 vacant title and Cotto won 3 vacant title.
