I think that’s the sensible route

he’s not beating Tommy Fury. Fury will beat him easier next time. Rematches usually favour the more skilled boxer, plus he will be more relaxed.

He can make more money fighting KSI, which he will win. Maybe even more money fighting Nate Diaz than Tommy Fury again and we’ve seen he’s ok against these old MMA guys.

It just seems way more logical than fighting Tommy Fury again in a fight he will lose and that’s probably lost it’s intrigue now. Boxing fans were a bit invested in it because Fury is a boxer, and the boxer won. Next time the boxing audience probably won’t care as much.

Unless he’s hellbent on trying to avenge the loss, it makes basically no sense to take that rematch with the options he has.

I tend to agree with Hern on this one, as the KSI match will likely bring in big bucks for Paul without the level of risk. Tommy Fury is still young in boxing experience terms and only 23, and he was both the physically fitter and stronger man and the better boxer. He is likely to show more improvement before a rematch too.

There is still risk with KSI.... look at it from what happens with another loss. Paul can lose back to back with Fury but then still be king of the youtubers and still fight KSI after that.

If paul loses to fury and ksi back to back then what does he do with those 2 losses? its over for him

We saw Jake Paul’s actual level, but Jake Paul beat Anderson Silva who beat JCC jr. So just HOW coked up must JCC jr have been around the time of that fight? This guy was once a legit prospect who almost beat Sergio Martinez ffs, and he’s not even super old.

JCC is an embarassment. But also there was 16 months between JCC and Paul for Silva and when youre late 40s youre aging rapidly in terms of sports.

Silva outworked Jake most of the first half of the fight, got dropped due to being out of position late. Didnt put much on his punches to conserve energy. Ok what if its not a 47 year old silva, what if its a 43 or 44 year old silva, then he would have likely won given how close it was.
