Comments Thread For: Haney on Lomachenko: I Told Him a Long Time Ago Fight Me Now, Because It's Only Gonna Get Worse

Devin Haney simply believes Vasiliy Lomachenko is catching him at the wrong time. The 24-year-old undisputed lightweight champion from Oakland, California, feels that the three-division titlist from Ukraine would have had greater advantages in the ring had they fought "years and years ago," when Haney first started calling him out.

I’ll imagine he’ll invoke the WBO rule of stepping into the number one slot, in the super lightweight division. A potential fight with either Taylor or Lopez would be a high quality match up.

But remember your COWARD FATHER requested a voluntary defense against a bum after you won that fake belt , because he didn’t want you to fight Lomachenko because you weren’t ready

I think Loma would have beaten him then but now Haney has got better and Loma is on the slide and 36 next.birthday Loma is a small lightweight but Haney is huge at the weight but keeps his speed . I don't see how Haney can stay at light weight.

            Wow! So angry.
Whom did Haney fight other than Kamboso for that “voluntary” defense?
Loma would be Haney’s 1st defense of the unified titles he won.

It's Arum who prevented that fight from happening saying nobody will watch that fight because nobody knows who Haney is. But Loma fought a more tested guy like Lopez, who is an in-house fighter. You gotta be an idiot to say it's a simple case of ducking. Otherwise, you might as well say everything is about ducking between competing promoters in their respective divisions.

I'll never forget Haney saying he would "never lose to a white boy" in regards to Loma a few years back. Let's see..
