Do you believe there has been a slight improvement in Jones jr

Do you believe there has been a slight improvement in Jones jr ? im not a Jones nuthugger or anything and i dont want to go overboard because Lacy was past it and Sheika had been inactive and he was never that good to begin with, but i think Jones has looked a bit better recently, not just in his performances but in absorbing punches and i think he might give Hopkins a run for his money.

When fighters get old they are prone to up and down performances because of their age like Azumah Nelson losing twice to Leija, then Ruelas taking Leija's title and Nelson beating Ruelas down and then having a 3rd fight with Leija and knocking him silly then losing to Genaro Hernandez. PS i know that Ruelas had issues when he lost to Nelson but still..........

Hopkins looked done against Calzaghe then come back to dominate Kelly Pavlik.

Shane Mosley considered done after the Mayorga fight comes back and beats Margacheato.

Roy was hit by Lacy and he took the punches quite well and his timing looked excellent where as against Calzaghe his timing looked terrible, now i know you could say that was the opponent but i think Jones has got himself together a bit, not saying he will win but i think he has chance.

I just think Calzaghe makes every fighter look awkward. Calzaghe has the best jab feint i have seen it tired Nard out and Roy said he couldnt read his feints.

Since both Roy and Bernard have shown they still have plenty to offer and neither guy at 175 has anyone 25% of the quality of Calzaghe to fight so i say carry on.

Both beat Dawson imo but Chad cannot sell 200 tickets in his home town so i think he is out.

          I really don't know.

Sheika and Lacy are both shot but the fact that Roy blitzed both does prove that he has something left to get rid of them in style. Danny Green should tell us more even if he has been inactive, he is aggressive and he can punch. Jones certainly looked good putting his punches together though but both his opponents were hopelessly outclassed.

Calzaghe just drowned him in activity at times. Danny Green might be able to do the same and we'll know if Roy does a job on Green he has definetely improved. Calzaghe is more difficult to time obviously because he is in perpetual motion, and going back on the ropes against Calzaghe was silly, he may as well have bound himself.

Difficult. I think Green is a test even if he has been inactive.

Although most talk down on Calzaghe he was a very good fighter and gave everyone probs with his workrate and stamina. I think Roy may have realized that his reflexes are just a hair slower than they used to be and has adjusted his fighting style to compensate.

No. It has been proven again and again that against elites Roy can not cut i t anymore. Antonio Tarver could floss on Lacy, and Shieka if he wanted to, and KO them.

time and time again even tho the only elite on his comeback was calzaghe....
why could he not do what he did to lacy and shieka to badi ajamu and hanshaw?
he was trying a differrent style

hanshaw and ajamu did exaclty what lacy did, keep jones pressured against the ropes, yet jones was only potshotting and lost the first couple of rounds, how come there was no flurry? he was trying a differrent style

no.............he just go 2 wins over 2 punching bags.....
hopkins looked bad against joe cause joe was mobile and fast..and kelly pavlik was slow and stationary...
mayorga tries to box mosley and mosley has issues with movement...margo was a stationary punching bag
older fighters look good against slow stationary fighters

Tarver and Johnson sparked him too. If you don't view them elite, then that's even worse.
