  • Comments Thread For: Keyshawn Davis To Fight Anthony Yigit In ESPN Opener April 8 At Prudential Center In Newark

Three fights after Rolly Romero stopped him, Anthony Yigit will take on another undefeated American lightweight. BoxingScene.com has learned that Keyshawn Davis will face the Swedish southpaw in a 10-round bout April 8 in Newark, New Jersey. ESPN will air Davis-Yigit as the opener of a tripleheader that'll feature Newark native Shakur Stevenson in the 12-round main event versus Japan's Shuichiro Yoshino.

decent stay busy fight, but pretty obvious Keyshawn will make short work of Yigit. It doesn't take a Silver Olympian to outclass him if Rolly pulled it off.

Tagoe would have been a more interesting fight, too bad it couldn't happen. Yigit looked terrible at 135lhs against Prolly and not going to look any better against Keyshawn.

Davis better be able to beat Yigit in more impressive fashion than Rolly did after all the stuff Davis has talked about Rolly cuz we all know Rolly won’t let him hear the end of it if Davis can’t get the job done better than Rolly did

That's a great day for boxing. Got Bam Rodriguez v Cristian González for a 112 lb belt, the Teraji v Bomba Gonzalez unification in Japan, which will also have the debut of Tenshin Nasukawa, and Takuma Inoue, and this card. Lots of potentially good fights.

Never heard of Yigit, but I hope Keyshawn gains some experience and sharpens his tools on the way to a win.
