Comments Thread For: Tony Harrison: "I've Never Been This Motivated To Get To The Top Again"

For the vast majority of Tony Harrison's career, the Detroit native solidified himself as one of the best junior middleweights around. But while he comfortably carved out a spot amongst the division's elite, defeats against Jarrett Hurd and Willie Wilson left Harrison just short of his title aspirations.

Glad this fight got made. Was disappointed when the Charlo/Tzsyu got canceled.

After Harrison gets a unanimous decision and a flash knock down on Tim, he should really take the time to thank him for taking a fight that he didn't have to, especially if he just wanted a stay busy fight.

I'm puzzled as to why Tim Ka-Zoo took such a risky fight. Harrison is a better fighter than Gausha. Gausha dropped Ka-Zoo. Then again, Harrison isn't a big puncher.

Because he's not the typical boxer beating around the bush. He truly wants to test himself.

Huge risk for sure. But he'll have the boxing community's respect. Win or lose.

Never a smart move to put a GUARANTEED title shot at risk in what amounts to be a 50-50 stay busy fight. It never ends well. May the best man win.

very ballsy move from tim i think it shows alot of confidence in himself
hopefully the risk pays off and he can show the world how good he is against a very proven opponent

I know why Harrison is taking this fight. Al was lining him up to be cannon fodder for Fundora. Ka-Zoo is a much more winnable fight. Harrison got a major reprieve.

You got that right brother. He's not the typical, run off the mill part-time boxers fighting once a year expecting to earn big bucks showcasing fights.
