By Keith Idec - Jeremias Ponce plans to display intelligence and versatility versus Subriel Matias on Saturday night. The unbeaten Argentinean contender also expects to knock out a favored fighter who is known primarily for his power in their 12-round, 140-pound championship match. Each of Matias' 18 professional wins have come by knockout, but the

Showtime keep putting the fights out there. Good bad or indifferent they need a platform now more then ever. With DAZN going down the drain and make no mistake they are going down for the count. Because they or too busy counting other peoples money they are finished putting up fights any longer. So keep putting out the fight cards if you show them people will watch.

That is a good card for hardcore fans.

Matias showed improvement in his last fight and this on paper looks to be a very good fight to watch.

This is one great card, it's going to expose fighter's who can quite possibly turn out to be future star's in the sport of boxing.
I can be wrong, but I'm looking forward to Subriel Matias, and Joseph Adorno, to come up victorious in fiercely contested fight's.
If they are able to do just that, watch out! Because we might just be in the presence of two future great fighter's. Time will tell.

Mathias has the edge in power, but his conditioning better be on par because Ponce looks like he can fight 20 rounds.

that's my only hope for ponce, that matias runs out of gas in the second half of the fight (if the fight even goes pass the sixth). subriel's stamina doesn't seem to be that great or at least that's what i remember.

That and he looks like he could have some Matthysse blood in him. Never sleep on Argentinean prospects.

Honestly, I feel that there are a few too many exuberant Puerto Ricans on this site that have overhyped Subriel Matias a bit. He is a strong pressure fighter with a solid chin and excellent power, but he has plenty of flaws for top tier guys to take advantage of. His feet are relatively slow, he has terrible head movement and stays straight on the line in the pocket for way too long not to get lit up with heavy hands eventually. If Ponce has a good beard, I pick him to win this.

Matias eventually won by TKO, but watch his fight against Jukembayev to see this man's flaws on full display. Matias eats too much leather.
