I like Lara and predicted that he would KO Wood, but he was gassed only halfway through the fight. If he wants to keep Figueroa, Magsayo, and Vargas off of him, he will have to really work on his stamina and conditioning.

Figueroua versus Lara, or Nery, are the battles for the supremacy in the lower weight classes, that all of us want to see, due to their warrior spirit's!

By the way brother it is four day's to the crowning, or defeat of Subriel "El Orgullo de Maternillo" Matias, aka Browny! Can't wait to find out which of the two it'll be.

Correction it'll be brutal! Ponce for forcing a delay to their fight is going to get his comeuppance.
That's what Matias has stated, and I do believe that he will live up to his words come Saturday night.
From what I've seen of Matias in the ring, he is a fighter of singular laser focus, to the task at hand.
Jeremias Ponce will come to fight, but the harder he fight's, it will only serve to bring out an even more brutal side of Browny!
That can only spell a prolonged beating of a kind that Ponce has never imagined, let alone suffered himself.

Don't forget that Joseph "Blessed Hands" Adorno will be going up against Elvis "The Dominican Kid" Rodriguez, which should be a brutal affair in, and of itself.

May our warriors be successful on February 25, 2023, and may this be the beginning of a resurgence of the 1970's, P.R.'s greatest decade in boxing history.
Adding to the great names of Wilfred Benitez, Angel Espada, Alfredo Escalera, Samuel Serrano, Esteban de Jesus, Wilfredo Gomez, and
          Hector Camacho, etc, etc, etc!

No Weasel Eddie, Venado Lopez would beat this glorified club fighter fairly easily. Lopez is #1 @ 126. No cap.

And let's hope he gets some love in PR if he becomes champion! I know way too many Puerto Ricans who don't even know about Browny! Unacceptable!

You're 100% correct, not being known in your own country, or abroad especially when you're a sensational fighter is completely unacceptable.

He's "El Orgullo de Maternillo", now! He will be known as "El Orgullo de Puert Rico", once he win's the title, and make's a few defense's.

Man I'm super pumped for Matias I've been big on him since before the Dadashev fight but hes still so underrated its ridiculous.

He gets a lot of love in mexico now since he's been there for a few camps now. But still too underrated here in the states. Ponce can fight I'm not underestimating him but Subriel will crave him up nicely.

Matias is aware of the task at hand, he's stated that compares Ponce to Marcos Miadana, which is high praise.
He knows that he's going to be at his level best, and I don't expect anything less than that, when he finally fight's Ponce.
He's further stated that once he's won the title (that is assuming he's able to do just that), he has his site's set on Prograise next.
Now if this is all to happen, and Matias is successful, he will no longer be underrated, unknown, or unappreciated, He'll be the top do at 140 pounds!

I agree and I truly believe he can beat anyone at 140. Browny is a throwback he's hungry and ready to take what's his. In a way he reminds me of a 140lb Benavidez.

Subriel "The Puerto Rican monster" Matias.
