Comments Thread For: Lomachenko Predicts Tank Davis Will 'Finish' Ryan Garcia Inside The Distance

Vasiliy Lomachenko thinks Gervonta Davis has all the key attributes to get his hands raised on the night he takes on Ryan Garcia. The three-division titlist from Ukraine recently offered his prediction on the ballyhooed 12-round, 136-pound bout

Difficult fight, Ryan has equally fast hands and power but it's hard to argue Loma. Lomachanko has no preference and he's a technical guy which means he probably sees something that I'm missing. Sure, Gerovnta Davis fought bigger guys but no one as fast and heavy handed as Ryan Garcia.

I'm sure Joe Goosen has been working on Ryan Garcia's Jab and a tall guy with a hard jab is like a toll both that you can't just drive through without paying a price.

I'd like to believe that I'm impartial but I don't see it, tough call. In either case this is a good, close fight that's worth the price of admission..

I believe Ryan has a genuine shot but Tank has a darn good in and out game that could ultimately fluster the bigger guy. We’ll see(?).

I see Tank losing the first half being outboxed at a distance. But that uppercut he has is lethal. If Garcia stays away from that, that's all he needs to do for the win.

Tank will try to walk Ryan into something! Ryan needs to be able to control the distance! If not, I think he's gone in 8! If he can, I think he wins by UD!

tank is too flat footed and relies on his power too much. Garcia wins

One way to tell if a guy’s hands are really all that fast: Punches are hard to see even when replayed in slow motion. Garcia meets that test. Both are great fighters. If Garcia can keep his psychological issues at bay, I’d be inclined to give him the nod based on height, reach, speed, and power.

Cryan Garcia will be in a non stop dog fight. He will mentally break from the beating and find a way out.

Great fight! I think it comes down to game plan discipline and the ability to go to plan B when it is needed. Garcia needs to be more disciplined than Tank in my opinion because I anticipate a lot of traps set up.

Lomo absolutely correct! But I believe that Tank will stop Ryan Garcia within 4 rounds. Ryan doesn't have the footwork and head movement to avoid Tanks setups and traps.

Watch the Luke Campbell fight, Luke used a setup to catch Ryan and put him on his butt. Luke was also unmotivated and coming from an illness.
