Comments Thread For: Abel Sanchez Does Not View Thurman As Easy Fight For Spence

At one point, Keith Thurman was undoubtedly recognized as not only the best welterweight in the world, but one of the best fighters around. But after being forced into the medical room far more than he would like, the now 34-year-old has made sporadic appearances.

He’s not but Thurman will NEVER get a decision on the cards vs Spence considering he has one foot out the door of boxing and more money can be made from Errol. Thurman needs a KO to win.

It is my understanding that even though they are fighting above welterweight, the WBC 147 strap will still be on the line?

        Is this correct, guys?

I actually think Thurman who unified would have beat Spence who at that time beat Brooke to earn the IBF, but now he’s too old and inactive to keep up the pace needed over 12 rounds. Spence by UD, no controversy.

Would serve Spence right if he lost this fight.

The title of this article and the actual words said by Sanchez are damn near night and day.

"Abel Sanchez Does Not View Thurman As Easy Fight For Spence"

'But, should the two tango at some point this year, Sanchez is convinced that Spence will have an easier time in the ring in comparison to his championship rival.

“Keith Thurman is a talented fighter. It’s not easy but he (Spence) won’t have to work as hard as he would against Crawford.”'
