I've read around here that he has the power to veto fights with some or all of his fighters, no clue if true.

However - no one makes these guys sign with Haymon. And isn't it strange? He's talked about like he's the devil on NSB, but you never hear any of his former fighters have anything bad to say about him. Haymon takes care of his fighters.... seems to make people really mad.

I guess that the part afterwards means nothing, "As well as me wanting it for myself." Contractually, Al can't force them to do anything, but yes, they seek his approval because he has gained their trust and respect. All of the fighters under Haymon, have spoken about him and the things he's taught them, and done for them and their families in nothing but the highest regard. If he didn't have that type of relationship with them, I believe that you would hear a bunch of fighters complaining about him, especially with him not speaking publicly.

Embarrassing what ****** these guys are. But with the fight happening, there should not be much complaining.

Not really, he's giving up everything that he's earned the right for as the WBC and WBO champion in the division that Inoue doesn't even have a fight in. Top Rank will be the lead promoter instead of PBC, which Fulton is under, its going to be on ESPN instead of Showtime, which Fulton is under, and he has to travel to the challenger's home country as a 2 belt champion against someone that doesn't have a fight, much less a belt at 122.

Fulton is the champ. He was on his way to 126 for the Figueroa rematch to shut clowns up, but hung around to take on Monster. He doesn't need Monster. Monster has no belts at 122, so what are you really talking about? I like both guys, btw.

Honestly, I'm surprised how fast people are jumping on the bandwagon for this fight, get two supposed marquee names together, people eat it up and they forget about the weight classes. Just a friendly reminder to everyone, Naoya Inoue isn't a 122 fighter, he's a 118 fighter.

I'd rather see Fulton unify with the other champ MJ and then let Monster Inoue get some warmup fights at 122 first before getting a title shot.

And Inoue has never fought at the weight before. The promotional stuff shouldn’t affect the fighter.

He's getting praise because he is the Champion fighting in the challengers home soil. Big difference and ballsy move.
