Comments Thread For: Hearn Says Joshua Willing To Fight Fury 'In the Summer' If Usyk Match Falls Apart

Eddie Hearn insists that Anthony Joshua would have no qualms fighting Tyson Fury this summer if the latter's fight with Oleksandr Usyk fails to materialize.

I know it's a business, etc etc....but passing on Usyk to fight the guy he just beat twice is a bad look.

I thought he was fighting Whyte for the southern area title, of course it would be a million times better but don't book hotels etc!

Joyce is higher ranked and deserves the shot more. And I think Frank would prefer to milk the belts in house atleast for this fight.
AJ isnt in with a sniff until he's either picked up a loose belt, a mando position, or there is no better financial option (inc all sideshow fights etc).

After all this, then it will be AJs turn. Thats of course if AJ gets that far.

His wish will be listened to, but only halfway.
WBC will mandate Wilder v AJ for final eliminator.
But first, Hearn will have to finance Ruiz's next purse and AJ will have to beat Franklin.
Maybe even Benns destiny will be dangled as a carrot to accept Wilder fight.

Hearn is looking to cash AJ out, he knows the gravy train is over.

You might well be right but Joshua , like it or not has built a huge UK fanbase that seem to support him no matter what and would likely pay to see him go through a string of opponents he would most likely loose to (in my opinion) but would be massively paid for. If we are to take Joshua on his word about money being the reason, then this may well be the plan.
