I'm not a genius. Good enough?

Didn't think you were color blind or try to argue anything, just thought you made a mistake, but I've known an Irishwoman whose always reffered to it as green, white, and orange.

So you were talking about the gold in reference to the flag that was used by the IRA and such? At least, that's what I've always been told.

I'm just talkin about what the colors are referred to as by the majority of my family and other people I know. I hear it called orange too, just not as often. Most flags are orange, but they are referred to in most rebel songs and writings as green, white and gold. I think it's just an old school term, as far as havin' to do with the IRA I haven't heard that before. The term's been around for over 150 years.

Well, I had always talked to a lady straight off the boat, and she had always called it orange but said that they had old Irish songs about the IRA or the rebels in general, and said they reffered to it as gold.

Maybe your family is more old school, because even the Irish where I live say orange.
