Does Floyds inability to make 144 jeopardize a fight vs pac???

Look i'm not a nutthugger of either one...
    i'm curious of everyone's opinion
Does the fact that Floyd didn't make the 144lb catchweight jeopardize his potential showdown with pac??
we all know Roach is gonna want a catchweight diamond belt fight, if pac beats cotto (which he wont)

He'll make the catchweight with Pac 'cause they'll be a huge penalty.

He didn't make 144 against Marquez on purpose IMO.

true... i mean personally i don't think they'll agree on the percentage split but i didn't know if the weight would be as big of an issue

That's going to be the big problem. The percentage split. Neither of them is going to want 50-50.
I think the fight will get made though. There is just too much money riding on this fight. (All of this is assuming Pac beats Cotto which I think is a 50-50 fight)

Didn't Jones-Hopkins finally agree to 50-50 with the winner getting 60 if the fight ends before 12 rounds?

That would be a nice trend to see in boxing for those "impossible" big fights that we as fans want to see, but can't be made because of money.

The percentage doesnt even have anything to do with Pac. People make it sound like Pac wouldnt take 40 to fight Floyd. He would take that all day. Its Arum who doesnt want to take it and Roach use to be like Pac but now he's more like Arum. The thing is though, Floyd is no dummy and there aint no way that he's fighting Pac for anything less than 55 with the numbers he has put up and he probably wouldnt fight for less than 60. I think Pac will cave because he knows 40 against Floyd is still way way way way more than he can make with anyone else. Floyd is the guy who cares about money, lives in expensive Vegas, and spends a ton. Pac lives in Manilla. He could live the rest of his life like a king even for just a million dollars let alone what he will make against Floyd. Arum may not want to cave but Pac will eventually make him. Who else is Pac going to fight? He's not going to risk fighting Mosley for a 3rd of what he could make against Floyd in which would probably be an easier fifhgt for him.

I agree about the weight stuff with the others. I think Floyd never tried to make weight for JMM. People think that Floyd paid JMM an extra 600,000 but I dont. I think he probably got with GBP before the fight and offered JMM a certain amount and they took the fight because JMM isnt use to getting big money. I think the amount they offered him was probably already 600,000 shorter then they normaly wouldve. Thats why Floyd and his team always said that its a WW fight. They were never even going to try and they werent worried about the penalty because they shorted JMM 600,000 in the negotations anyways just for that very reason. I think Floyd vs Pac will be at 145, not 144. Pac is already fighting Cotto at 145 and Floyd wont go lower then that, e****ally since a Pac-Floyd fight means that Pac already beat Cotto

First of all, Floyd doesnt need Pac, Pac needs Floyd if he wants mega money.
Floyd is the proven cash cow.. Obviosuly he can fight anyone and make 8 figures at this point.. Floyd will have the upper hand in ALL the negotiations..
If Pac fought Oscar at 147, best believe Floyd is gonna demand Pac fight him at 147.. And Pac will be lucky to get 60/40... Take it or kick rocks. Floyd can fight Mosley, and his broke child and spousal support paying ass would be happy to take a 75/25 split...

Money Mays way or the high way for Pac

Probally not. He would have to pay alot of money if he doesn't make the weight. Infact this might guarantee the fight will be fair, now that Mayweather cant come up with another excuse to not make the weight. I'm sure Roach wont allow Mayweather to come up to the fight that strong.

As long as the fight is with Pacquiao Mayweather will not make more than Manny. Mayweather will be willing to split 50/50 because he knows he needs Pac and not the other way around. Floyd will accept that because or else he wont get the opportunity beat Manny and not live in his shadow.
