Comments Thread For: Melvin Jerusalem-Oscar Collazo: Purse Bid Ordered For WBO Strawweight Title Fight

A title fight in boxing's tiniest division is now subject to the highest bidder. The 30-day negotiation period provided to Philippines' Melvin Jerusalem and Puerto Rico's Oscar Collazo has expired without a deal in place, which means their WBO strawweight title fight will head to a purse bid. The sanctioning body has scheduled the hearing for February 23, along with the Kazuto Ioka-Junto Nakatani WBO junior bantamweight title fight.

Can Collazo have any chance of beating a fighter who has 4 times as many professional fight's as he has?
I think that it's a herculean task for him to embark on, but i do believe that if he fight's a disciplined fight that he can win.
Collazo is going to have to be prepared for a possible full out attack by the champion, who's probably going to be upset that he's fighting a fighter with so few fight's.
