No reason why ESPN can't cover this fight. Eddie Hearn is literally giving it away. Fight is too insignificant for cash-strapped DAZN to carry. Unfortunately for Baumgardner, DAZN is no longer in the "spending money like drunken sailors" state.

I think the writing is on the wall for the Baum Gardner, she can't continue to refuse the rematch, Mayer will beat her again and Baum Gardner should at least get a decent payday but she needs to be realistic, Mayer will clearly want 500 thousand dollars, I think Baum Gardner as the much lesser known fighter should be happy to get 250/300 thousand. Both need to be realistic, only Katie gets a million+ a fight.

This went from funny to sad real quick. It's like Mayer built her entire identity on becoming undisputed.
Half the comments may end up being her using diff accounts (hope not). She's a true fighter and as such defeat isn't acceptable or imaginable but, this is becoming very unhealthy. She's not some nut job like Connor saying anything to get Floyd level $. She could be close to a Taylor fight but she stick on the one that defeated her.

Mayer should be glad Hearn is giving this fight away to her home network ESPN. Like she bragged about it in the first fight, which was supposed to be DAZN exclusive. All she needs to do is convince Arum and tell him to pepper the fight with co-main attractions.

You got jokes, maybe try to expand your routine and get on stage. First, Baumgardner won the first fight and went on to win an undisputed championship. She holds every belt in the division and won't be treated as beneath the whiny, entitled brat that she's already beat.

Secondly, Baumgardner doesn't have to give her a rematch, she's undisputed, she has plenty of options that would be lucrative fights besides one contender, Mayer, without a belt. She's accomplished everything that Mikaela was planning to do, and could even get the winner of Serrano-Taylor before Mayer, because Mikaela has nothing to offer and fights on a different network than them all.

Lastly, when have you heard of an undisputed champion taking less, not to mention half as much, as the opponent they've beaten already in a rematch? It won't happen with Baumgardner either. Alycia doesn't need Mikaela to continue on with her legacy, Mayer needs Baumgardner to try to re-establish control of what she's able to ask for next, otherwise she will end up fighting all of Baumgardner's leftovers, hoping that someone will give her a shot at their belt before Alycia gets to them.

Mayer is the next biggest superstar in female boxing after Katie, Baum Gardner like shields are foul mouthed therefore nobody will sponsor them or pay to see them. I think it must be an education thing, or lack off. Mayer won the first fight by at least two rounds, and of course she would expect far more dollars for the rematch, it's her who will bring the eye's, you may not want to admit it but Mikaela mayer is educated, smart and articulate, therefore she's a sponsors dream. Plus she's a looker which shouldn't matter but does. If the Baum Gardner wants to make money from boxing she needs to lose the street image and fowl mouth.
