Comments Thread For: Foster: When I Got Locked Up, It Just Opened My Eyes; Wanted To Give My All Before It's Too Late

By Keith Idec - O'Shaquie Foster was an inmate at a correctional facility in his hometown of Orange, Texas in August 2017. Foster felt abandoned by people he thought were his friends and wondered what would come of his boxing career after suffering two televised decision defeats during an eight-month span in 2015 and 2016. Foster finally realized he was

I'm feeling slightly invested in this - like Vargas and Foster's back stories.

From what I read the U.S prison system is rife with corruption - how long does probation typically last? ... 5 years seems like a long time to me - one slip up and he's back in - and he could just be defending himself next time

The U.S. “justice” system is incredibly ****ed up. Lots of the prisoners shouldn’t be in there in the first place.

I know! They’re all “innocent.” No bail cities and minimal prosecution ******* cesspools have done wonderous things for them! It’s made these cities meccas for all to travel and vacation to!

I’m not going to defend the scum that truly belong in there, but let’s be honest about the situation. A lot of these violent crime offenders are let off quickly and hardly spend any time in prison. A lot of the ones who are spending time in prison are wrongly convicted or are in there for selling/distributing marijuana. The inner cities are deplorable because of ******* politicians. Just look at LA for example. Gascon is a pos who has no problem letting these scum run freely in the streets.

To be fair, what chance did he have at a good life with a name like “O’shaquie”?

Yeah it is. Lots of folks that are locked up shouldn’t be there in the first place and lots of folks who should never see the light of day are walking the streets.

If you are rich or extremely well connected, the criminal justice system almost doesn’t even apply to you. Lol

Im not saying any of this is the case with Foster as I have not taken the time to familiarize myself with the facts of his case as of yet.

I may or may not read up on the incident at some point if I am bored. I am definitely watching the fight doe!
