That's hilarious. Baumgardner has the belts. She doesn't need Mayer.

I rarely defend Hearn's slimy ass, but DAZN isn't an endless piggybank anymore. Baumgardner-Mayer isn't some huge moneymaker fight, it's an undercard fight in the UK. Baumgardner already beat Mayer, Hearn would be more than happy if Top Rank wasn't willing to spend money on Mayer to make the rematch. He'll just put Alicia in with nobodies on Katie Taylor undercards for a couple years.

It pains me to admit this, but KAREN is right. Eddie is saying the rematch is big on the one hand in his eyes, but then turns around and wants to co-promote a rematch as if Mayer still has the belts. Kinda WHACKO.

just because Jake Paul is willing to spend a bunch of money on womens fights, that doesnt mean that somehow now those fights are actually making money. Hearn has no interest in losing a bag on that fight, but it Top Rank wants to, he's more than willing to let them.

Baumgardner-Mayer was for undisputed feat two American fighters - it ended up on an undercard in the UK.

Hearn now has the undisputed champion and is surely planning to match her against British challengers that, no matter how terrible, will bring a crowd in the UK and make money.

If Mayer wants a rematch, ESPN is obviously the home for that fight. So it's time for Top Rank to pony up if they believe in Mayer.
