Comments Thread For: Serrano's Trainer/Manager: There's Concern About Judging Of Taylor Rematch In Dublin

NEW YORK - Jordan Maldonado didn't downplay the obvious. Amanda Serrano's trainer and manager admitted early Sunday morning that "there's concern" about how Serrano's rematch with Ireland's Katie Taylor will be judged May 20 in Dublin. The crowd for their second lightweight championship unification fight will be overwhelmingly pro-Taylor, which could influence even the most competent judges.

In Madison Square Garden, Amanda Serrano was robbed by two of the judge's, in Croke Park she'll get mugged by all three judge's.
Eddie Hearn is a wiley devil giving Serrano 3 month's to recuperate from her grueling fight with Cruz, and gain 10 pound's, to fight Katie Taylor.
Serrano is going to have to go for the knockout, she had Taylor going in their first fight, hopefully she can knock Taylor out in her own back yard.

"Robbed" don't be ridiculous, you're throwing the word around too frivolously.

It was a close fight with Amanda having success in the 5th and waning badly afterwards, 1 round away from a from a draw on both of their cards is hardly robbery now is it? which would've been a fair outcome if you're being completely honest with yourself and not a fan boy or a nationalist.

shock horror, someone travelling to fight in another country to fight a popular fighter on their patch on their network is worried LOL, well thats life itsnt it and how the sport works

serrano couldnt get the job done in her hometown, her fans cant even list 6 rounds she won in the first fight, reason, she didnt win 6 rounds, they cry about 3 min rounds, well serrano lost the last 3 rounds of that fight and if it went longer would be worse for her, taylor will probably win clearer next time & the tears will flow again im afraid boo hoo

Forget about how the judge's scored it you have your own pair of eye's, Taylor was out on her feet in the 5, and in the last round.
Just look at that girl's face, when the bell rang she was confused, and badly hurt, on May 20th we'll find out who took more out of whom.
There's none of that blind fan boy crap over here Boro, Taylor was the greatest female amatuer champion, but Serrano is the greatest female professional champion.

This coming from a convicted drug dealer ffs. I'm thinking Jordan has just been notified by the Irish embassy, ENTRY denied Jordan yes? I'm telling you now this fight won't happen, expect Mikaela mayer to be announced as a replacement very soon.

Why would it be Mayer when she lost her last fight? If there's any replacement, it should be Baumgardner, who just won and became the undisputed champion.

A singular round does not determine the rest of the fight, fights aren't judged in a vacuum "sadly"...
Or perhaps she would've been the winner, either way my issue isn't with the winner of the fight, it's calling a close fight a robbery it's absurd...

The Baum Gardner probably won't take a Katie fight just yet, she would lose and probably knows it, mayer v Taylor would be huge in Ireland, plus mayer is a tougher fight for Katie and Katie only wants the toughest fights now. She will retire in one more fight as she has said she wants a family. Obviously bob and Eddie are clashing and DAZN will want the fight so that could be problematic with Bob arum. I can't see serrano trainer getting entry into Ireland so it's dodgy if Taylor v serrano happens in Ireland. Ireland has a zero tolerance to drug convictions.
