If he looks and feels on-target his team's plan is to pursue a bout with Joe Smith Jr. sometime in 2023.
Gvozdyk hasn't competed officially since suffering his first professional defeat 3⅓ years ago at the hands of Artur Beterbiev by way of rather vicious TKO10. That doesn't mean he's out of ring shape altogether, however. He has been staying sharp by providing peers with sparring services, most recently helping Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramírez Sánchez prep for Dmitrii Bivol in November.
