Paulie Malignaggi would make a great coach.

I thought he would make a great analyst and he did but he’s kinda a hothead sometimes and some folks don’t censor themselves well and that’s a problem when you are a commentator for Showtime.

They say some folks can show you and some folks can tell you doe and I always got the impression the Paulie was more mentally gifted than physically.

I could see him training champs doe. He is smart about boxing imo.

Maybe. He'd need a boxer with the right kind of temperament. Who also reacts to his instruction in a positive way.

      Because Paulie is very emotional.

Even when he's saying the right things, it's how he is saying it that kills his own statements.

I’m not sure. Paulie has incredible knowledge no doubt but…

Knowledge and teaching are two totally different things.

Great point! I think he’d struggle to stay level headed.

A great trainer needs to know when to be calm in tough times during a fight. Paulie ain’t that.

He offers excellent commentary, who knows how well he would coach.

I agree with this 100%. He would need someone to help keep him above board I think.

"There's a 1000 ways to skin a cat." Of course when you are teaching a a boxercise class you want to start fundementally with a generic stance and punch selection. But if a person is going to compete you have to work with what's in front of you.

Most successful former pro boxers make the mistake of trying to have their students fight like them, most recent example Eubank Jr./Roy Jones. This is a HUGE mistake!
