He also won against Warrington a world champion.

Being that said I don't think he skilled enough to time Navarrete who overwhelmed a technical operator in Villa nor do I think he can handle the sheer size difference against an elite contender. To beat Navarrete, the one with the best odds would probably be Rey Vargas who just defeated Magsayo.

Too bad he left the division when things were just heating up with Fulton, Lara, Figueroa, Ramirez, Wood and Lopez entering the mix. But it seems he is unable to make 126 at this point considering his age and size, he was gassing in the middle rounds and outboxed against an unranked fighter in Baez.
Lopez is very skilled. That's how he edged Vences and beat Flores Jr. like a rented mule. He uses the shoulder roll and Shuffle off To Buffalo on occasion. I believed he'd time Navarrete all night. Navarrete is not overly-skilled and can be picked off by a clever boxer.

Lol the only embarrassing thing about Shakur vs Valdez was Shakur crying like a little ***** when Valdez gave him back some of the dirty tactics. I don't think Concecaio will ever have anymore children after fighting Shakur.

I don't doubt Lopez's boxing ability, more like I think Navarrete is too large at 126 and his style is too unorthodox to time. To beat Navarrete, you need a lot of power like Mauricio Lara to disrupt his rhythm or avoid engaging a fight in the phone booth like Vargas.

Navarrete came perilously close to losing tonight. The ref saved him with an extremely long count. Robeisy Ramirez and Lopez would have both beaten him at 126. He gets hit a lot and makes horrible mistakes when he flies open to punch. Valdez will time him and stop him just like he timed and stopped Berchelt.

Rocked by a pretty big aussie with knockout power, don't think Lopez has the qualities to pull off what Wilson did. However, both Robeisy Ramirez and Oscar Valdez have sufficient size, explosive power and the counterpunching skillset that capitalizes on styles similar to those of Navarrete.

Although I think he brings more problems than Berchelt based on the fact that overall physically larger, has superior hand speed and throws combinations at a higher pace. It still be pretty difficult to handle him.

However like Berchelt, Navarrete is a slow starter with a leaky defense, if someone with outstanding power and timing were disrupt his pressure in the initial rounds, he be either stopped early or would be too damaged to make it competitive throughout the whole fight.

Berchelt is actually a little bigger than Vaquero, but Vaquero is more resourceful, has a higher ring IQ and has more heart.
